- Course begins and ends in the heart of downtown Anchorage. The ultramarathon runners wind through downtown streets and then head out onto the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail at 2nd Avenue.

- Awards will given to the top male and female finishers and to the first runner to the turnaround on Kincaid hill. The first place male and female 49K Ultra finishers will each win a round trip travel certificate on Alaska Airlines.
