- The Old Glory Ultra Trail Runs take you through the Appalachian Mountains and crosses the Virginia/West Virginia border several times. The course is mostly double track, some single track, and only ~1.5 mi on gravel road.

- The course winds through wooded mountains and the trail has numerous stream crossings. Some sections of the course are "buttery" while others are more technical. There will be 5 (possibly 6) aid stations, well stocked, and there to keep you moving.
